Win $100 for best in contest in the following categories:

  • an opinion essay (any topic)
  • a poem
  • news article
  • sports story
  • feature story

The Main Street Journal is offering $100 for the best in each category per month.

Rules:

  • You must be between the ages of 7 and 15
  • Submit an application accepting the rules and authenticity of your writing. (name, age, address, school and phone number)
  • Include a short paragraph on what inspired you to write it.
  • Your writing should be no more than 3 pages.
  • Deadline is the 15th of each month.
